Hey there, I’m Meg!
A copywriter and creative strategist, I’ve been in online marketing since 2014.
Throughout those years, I’ve been described as sparkly, magical, and even a word alchemist.
But you won’t find any potions or pixie dust inside my cabinet of curiosities.
In fact, I don’t even have a cabinet of curiosities (alas, someday).
What I do have is
- Heaps of enthusiasm
- Bottomless curiosity
- An unquenchable thirst for knowledge
- And an undying love for the written word
Hardly your standard list of resume qualifications, I know.
Here’s what that means for you:
A problem-solving approach to every project
No one-size-fits-all, prescriptive solutions here. Pulling from the Socratic method and design thinking I start every project with curiosity. In other words, I’ll be asking lots of questions to make sure we get to the very heart of what you need.
Dedication to depth over speed
I take the time to truly get to know and understand both you and your business. While admittedly a website in a weekend sounds great, it leaves little room to dig into the intricacies and nuances that set you apart from the competition. Creativity requires marination.
A willingness to get messy
I’m ready to dive in feet first, hand-in-hand. Let’s be honest, if you felt that you had all the right words you wouldn’t be seeking out help from a writer. Bring me your scrambled thoughts, half-baked ideas, run-on sentences, or even that one picture that embodies the feeling of what you’re trying to say. However you best express yourself, I’m ready to decipher it.
Seeing your own words in a new light
My favorite part about this work is mining through what you’ve written to pull out the gold. All too often, after a polish and reframe, these are the very pieces that get feedback like “this brought tears to my eyes”. It’s all you baby. You had it all along.
And last, but certainly not least, FUN!
Banish all thoughts of the fussy, tight-laced grammar and composition from English classes of yore — we are going to have so much fun. I am here as your cheerleader, your confidant, and your own personal class clown.
